Začátek února je pravidelně spojován nejen s mrazivým počasím, ale na Jamajce taky oslavou "měsíce reggae" a taky výročí narození Dennise Emmanuela Browna (1.2. 1957 – 1.7. 1999) a Boba Marleyho (6.2. 1945 – 11.5. 1981). Rádi bychom proto níže vzpomněli oba tyto vyjímečné muzikanty a pozvali vás k poslechu jejich muziky. Přidáte-li do komentářů i své hity těchto dvou králů, o které máte chuť se podělit, budeme jen rádi! Pár otázek do pranice: Jak vnímáte současný stav české reggae scény? Taky máte pocit, že to tu s nadšením nějak usnulo? Čím to může být? Kudy z toho ven? Má to ještě vůbec smysl, abychom tomu věnovat energii?

My GF and myself have taken over a music club in Smichov, and apart from an inherited clientel on Sats and Suns, we have an empty space from Monday to Friday. Its the sort of space our soundsystem prayed for.
We are not hiring, or paying, and we are not charging for the space. Idea being we take the bar money, whoever wants a reggaenight there, takes door money. If you want to check it out, feel free to drop me a line.

My GF and I have taken over a music club in smichov. Currently we have a mainly Ukrainian clientel who occupy Saturdays and Sundays. I know the history etc, but its time to move on. I would love to have a regular friday reggae night. We are not asking for any money for the place, we are not paying anybody. We are getting on our feet and cant afford to yet.
If you are interested in holding a regular friday night reggae session in central Prague, and charging on the door if you want (you keep all door money) then feel free to come and have a look at the bar. I think its a good space, and if somebody had offered our soundsystem in England the same opportunity, we would have ripped their arms off.
